Camp Mission - Camp Fairlee Manor is a summer-long celebration filled with fun, tradition, innovation, friendship, and growth.  For over 45 years, we have provided safe, healthy, and success-oriented recreational opportunities to enhance the quality of life of individuals with disabilities.

The Camp Fairlee Manor philosophy is to provide a nurturing environment with:

Facilities - Camp is held at the Fairlee Manor Recreation and Education Center, a beautiful 250 acre site located on Maryland's Eastern Shore, 8 miles from historic Chestertown.  Camp facilities include:

Leadership - All aspects of the Camp operation are supervised by a full-time Camp Director.

Our experienced staff includes teachers, counselors, and college students recruited from around the United States, as well as internationally.

Each staff member is carefully selected based on skills, experience, and motivation for working with individuals with disabilities.

Each staff member is interviewed, has references checked, and is given a thorough background check as required by Maryland law.  Activity Specialists have training and certification in their various fields.

An extensive, week-long pre-camp training encourages staff enthusiasm, creativity, and a sense of commitment that is a Camp Fairlee Manor tradition.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Health Services - A registered nurse resides at Camp throughout the season, and a doctor is on call 24 hours a day.  The Camp health center is fully equipped to handle first aid and routine medical situations.

In the event of an emergency, the county hospital is located within minutes of the camp.

 

 

 

 

 

Programming - Daily schedules combine morning and afternoon activity periods with dynamic special evening events.  To encourage the development of new interests and skills, a wide variety of stimulating activities are offered including:

Food Services - Wholesome food served family style, provides campers with three delicious meals each day.

All menus are reviewed by a licensed dietician and special dietary needs are coordinated by camp medical staff.
